Kavall raises $5.8mn to expand to more Swedish cities

Kavall, a Swedish grocery delivery app, is the latest startup in Europe’s burgeoning quick-delivery sector to raise funds and comes shortly after US-based Gopuff acquired Fancy.

The grocery delivery company has raised USD 5.8mn (SEK 50mn) and has been is backed by Inbox Capital and VNV Global. Angel investors are reportedly Fredrik Jung-Abbou and Samir Bachkani.

The start-up was founded in May by Robin Rendahl and Peter Simon with the promise of delivering groceries within ten minutes for SEK 19 (USD 2.19). It operates out of Vasastan.
